These are the points my partner and I found when playing our game.
-Players must be instructed to return the battle cards to the opponent after the battle.
-Players must move the units in the exact number of spaces indicated on the dice.
-Units cannot move through other cards. In order to move there must be a clear passage.
-The "slap jack" battle is confusing. It was brought up in critique that we should simplify. As a result, the slap jack battle is no more.
In the critique these are the points that were brought up.
-Label the cards with "Kingdom battle card", "Unit card", and "Attribute card".
-Instruct players to place cards face up on the playing board.
-Instead of labeling power points as "pp" just say "power".
-Players need to be reminded to check the cards for special instructions.
-What happens if players tie in the battle? How is that resolved?
-The instructions need to include a diagram labeling the areas of the map.
-Just generally include more diagrams in the instructions because they were helpful.
Below are the main components that we created for the first game testing session.
The image that will appear on the back of the cards. We have a blue shield as well to represent the different teams.
Basic cards for the blue team.
Four attribute cards (Each player will receive 8 distinct cards once finished).
